The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock. Jenna Feiler

What? I dont get it. I have read this a few times and I'm lost. I thought that maybe it was about a man geting oder and was thinking about the years gone by but I dont know if that is at all true. Sorry this blog is going to be short because I simply dont know what this poem is about. I like it though I think although I'm still just plain confussed.

Leda and the Swan; Daddy - Jenna Feiler

My blog for "Leda and the Swan" and "Daddy" might have a little bit of a different take then most. I took a full year of Greek Mythology so I know in the poem "Leda..Swan" Leda is getting raped by the great god for the sky Zeus. Zeus is known for the way he cupples with mortal women and produces mortal heros that do great things. This peos shows how extreamly violent Zesu was to Leda and how she had not means of escape. 

Daddy, this peom was about the WWII and the Halacost.The narator for the peom thinks for he dad as unvincable, almost god like and when he dies it effects her greatly. Also her fauther is a Nazie and she beleaves her self to be at least a little bit jew or gypsy which were treated as harshly as a Jew was. I am Gypsy and i have anstors that had died and where marked in the camps by there number. Anyway in the end of the peom the Girl fianly is about to seperate herself as a person from her seroundings.

London and the Chimney sweeper (jenna Feiler)

Both of these poems talk about the pore in London and how life is hard for them. The chimney sweeps get sick and die from the ash they breath in and the pore people suffer. there are many kid that are abandoned weather it because there family's can not feed them of simply don't want them. I like both poems but in general I'm just not that in to poetry. Hopefully this unit will help me appreciate it better.

The Ones Who walked away from Omeles and Harrison Bergeron -Jenna Feiler

Omeles is such a sad story! It makes me sad that everyone in the story knows about the pore little girl and no one dose anything to help her! I woud never beable to go threw my day knowing that my happieness is because someone else is suffering! I think thoughs that walk away might fell the same but if it were me I would take the little one with me! People need to make there own happieness. Its so sad this story makes me sad!!

Harrison Bergron is also sad! The fact that the goverment have taken everyones free will! the equality acts are awful! That is the grentied way to stop progresstion of socitay. People have no choice to obay and thoughs that fight are locked up! Harrison knows its worng and when he brakes out of his bindings and sets a dancer free they danced on the TV to show every one what beauty was again! then they are shot and killed and every one that saw them danced has there minds wiped. It is such a sad message that people are so enviose of what others have that no one is able to enjoy it.
